Astrology is the sharpest tool for the modern era
Many people think astrology is just Sun sign memes and vague horoscopes. As someone who wrote over 2 million words of horoscopes at the beginning of my career, I know how impossible it really is to give an accurate read to everyone on the planet based on Sun signs. That’s why most people never feel like they “get it” or feel embarrassed to admit they’re curious. Astrology is actually an ancient system that has guided kings, farmers, and civilizations for over 12,000 years. You’ve heard the famous JP Morgan quote about millionaires using astrology. And it’s true! Many of my clients are CEOs, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and successful creatives.
When you dive beyond the surface of astrology, you realize it’s not a party trick (although it’s totally fun to yap about birth charts at a gathering with new friends), it’s a powerful tool to help you understand yourself, your timing, and even where in the world you’re meant to flourish.
That’s exactly what this 8-week journey is about: grounding into the real system of astrology, so you can finally read your own chart with confidence! Then take it a step further with astrocartography, learning to read your personal map of the world so you know where you’re supported to thrive.

You can’t unlock the power of your map without first understanding the system it’s built on.
I’ve been asked for years to teach astrocartography, and my answer has always been the same:
“I can’t teach astrocartography without teaching the foundations of astrology in the planets, signs, and houses.”
Astrocartography isn’t just lines on a globe, but quite literally it’s your birth chart stretched across the Earth, showing you where the planets were rising and falling at the exact moment that you were born.
If you don’t know how to read the chart underneath, you won’t truly understand that colorful map on Astro.com. (This is why so much of the astrocartography content online feels shallow or even misleading; the foundations just aren’t there.)
That’s exactly why I created this 8-week program: to give you both the foundations of astrology and the skills to confidently read your own map.
Astrology can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.
You don’t need to memorize endless lists or piece together half-truths from TikTok. Astrology is a system, and once you understand the planets, signs, houses, and how they connect, it clicks.
All of a sudden, charts make sense, and you can’t unsee this new language guiding you in every area of life.
I remember the first time I looked at a chart and the frustration of knowing there was meaning there, but not being able to read it. Back in 2012, resources were scarce.
I knew I was supposed to be able to read this, but I couldn’t figure it out. Eventually, I found my way to the Portland School of Astrology’s year-long program, where I learned astrology as a language rather than material to memorize. That experience was life-changing, and I feel fortunate to be one of the school’s last graduates before it closed in 2020.
Now I’ve distilled all the knowledge from my year at PSA, working with Jan Spiller’s family to maintain her legacy, writing 20,000 words a week of horoscopes for two years, and serving over 4,000 clients, into this unique program to put the tools of astrology and astrocartography in your hands.

I’m not your average astrology hobbyist.
I’m KJ Atlas, a certified consulting astrologer and astrocartographer with over a decade of formal study and thousands of client sessions under my belt. I’m a graduate of the Portland School of Astrology, hold a B.S. in Public Health, and bring a background in psychology, behavioral health, and Fortune 50 organizational strategy into my work.
